Yuliana graduated in Law (cum laude) from the University of Indonesia and completed her Master degree in International Commercial Law with the award “LLM PASS WITH  DISTINCTION” from the University of Nottingham, one of leading universities in the United Kingdom. 

Yuliana has joined Bahar & Partners since 2003. She has been promoted as a partner of the firm in early 2010 to support the founding partner, Mr. Wahyuni Bahar who continues to lead the firm with the focus on corporate transactions.

During her office term, Yuliana practices in the areas of merger & acquisition laws and foreign investment & trade laws with numerous experiences in cross-border transactional matters; among others bond issuances, debt and corporate restructuring for various companies, mergers & acquisitions, privatization and divestment programs, capital market as well as corporate finance transactions.

Yuliana specializes in and acts as a partner-in-charge in the practice areas of Investment and Natural Resources, as well as Securities, Banking and Finance. She has had extensive experiences in advising foreign and domestic companies, among others, with regard to general corporate and commercial matters, such as foreign investment in Indonesia, share sales & purchases, and other corporate transactions including the operational aspects, licensing and employment legal issues.

Yuliana is also active in being a speaker in various seminars and workshops, among others the workshop on Contract Drafting Strategy used in Mining Industry, at Mulia Hotel, Jakarta on 22 February 2010, and the workshop on Legal Audit Technique designed for Coal Mining Company at Le Meridien Hotel, Jakarta on 30 June 2010. In addition, she also actively attended various training programs and seminars in the area of mining, cross border M&A, joint venture, financing, and capital market.

Yuliana involves as a non full time member of Business Support Desk Team of Kadin Indonesia - Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She also actively advises the chamber on certain foreign investment issues.

Professional Activities                             

• A registered Mediator at Indonesian Mediation Center (Pusat Mediasi Nasional), Jakarta, a national mediation center established to promote and accommodate dispute resolutions through mediation in Indonesia. 

• Member of the Indonesian Advocate Association (PERADI).

• Non Full Time Member of Business Support Desk Team of Kadin Indonesia -Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
